Need a Transformation?

Do you ever have thoughts of fear, worry, doubt, confusion?? Thoughts that
continue to bombard you. Do you feel you need a renewal in your thought
life, updating or repairing of your mind?? Let the Word of God cleanse,
refresh and renew your mind today.

Romans 12:2 NIV
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what
God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.

Don’t allow anxiety, stress, and the pressures of life begin to overtake
you. Read, study and apply the Word of God to your life and let it wash
your mind, cleanse your spirit and allow you to know what the will of God
is for your life.

Ephesians 5:25-26 NIV
just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her
holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word…

Like a shower in the morning can revive and recharge us, so reading God’s
Word in the morning can give us a renewed, updated, regenerated, right
frame of mind for the day ahead.

My prayer today is for each one of us to spend time with God, reading His
Word and as we do it would wash, transform and renew our minds.

Amen!

A Thankful Spirit

Give thanks with a grateful heart.

On this Thanksgiving Day I’m sure each one of us have a lengthy list of things we are thankful for. But let’s begin to live a life with a thankful spirit.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good,
His mercy is everlasting
And His truth endures to all generations.
Psalm 100:4-5 NKJV

Our Heavenly Father gives each one of us gifts and blessings each day. He knows what we need and when we need it. He is always right on time. He allows situations and circumstances in our lives to challenge us and help us grow our faith and our relationship with Him. He brings people into our lives that love us, teach us, pray for us, encourage us and even those who try us.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NKJV

My prayer today is for each of us to have a grateful spirit and thankful heart. And an attitude of gratitude that brings joy to the Father and makes us a channel to bless others.

Amen!

It’s a New Day

This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24 NKJV

God has given each one of us a new day today. The mistakes and let downs of
yesterday are behind us. Let’s invest our energy into today and what God has
planned for us. We shouldn’t waste time living in the past. We can and should
learn from the past and let it help shape and mold our future.

Everyday we wake up it’s a new day, a new opportunity, a new beginning.

…His compassions fail not. They are new every morning, great is Your
faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV

Let God’s faithfulness mark a turning point in your life today. And rejoice!

It’s a new day and time to sing a new song.

But I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning…
Psalm 59:16 NKJV

Let’s take this new day, this new opportunity to give back to the Lord for the
faithfulness He has shown us. May we extend love, kindness and compassion to others
just as the Lord has done for us.

Amen!

Breathe In

Are you feeling overwhelmed today?? Do you have a long to do list?? Is
everyone around you telling you what to do and how to do it??

Let God breathe life into you today. It gives life to our bodies when we
breath. How much better for us to breathe in the life of God. Quiet
yourself before Him today and take in the life giving breath of God.

God breathed into Adam’s nostrils the breath of life and he became a
living being.
Genesis 2:7 NKJV

In Ezekiel 37, He breathed life into the dry bones. Breath came into them
and they lived and stood upon their feet.

Let the refreshing wind and breath of God blow into your nostrils today.
May it cause health to your flesh and strength to your bones.

When we stop breathing we cease to live. Don’t let God’s breath stop
flowing through you. When the whirlwinds of life are blowing around you,
may it remind you, even more, to stop and take in the life giving breath
of God.

Heavenly Father breathe on us today and may we hear Your Word, feel and
take in Your life giving nourishment.

Amen!

Be an Encourager

Have you ever had someone encourage you to do something that you weren’t sure you
could do?? They saw something in you, you didn’t see in yourself.

We all need cheerleaders in our lives to encourage us to take a leap of faith,
overcome an obstacle or get through a difficult time. Our encouraging words impart
courage and confidence to others.

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. Hebrews
10:24 NLT

Encouraging words give hope to the hopeless and strength to those who feel weak.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up just as in fact you are
doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 NIV

A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.
Proverbs 15:30 NIV

My prayer today is that each one of us would speak kind, encouraging words to those
who cross our path, to brighten their day and turn it around. God make me an
encourager for Your glory.

Amen!

Reflection of God

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Galatians 5:22 NKJV

As we get ready for our day in the morning, we check ourselves in the mirror before
we go out. Making sure we look presentable for our day.

But as we go about our day may we reflect the Fruit of the Spirit. As we grow in our relationship
with the Lord may we develop unselfish love, true joy and lasting peace. As we
relate to others may we be challenged to reflect His patience, kindness and
goodness. As we mature spiritually may we discover an inner strength which results
from faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

May we not just receive the blessings of God for ourselves but reflect His character
to all we encounter today. Let your life be a reflection of God. And may His glory
shine in you today.

Amen!

Don’t Judge, Pray!

Have you ever said these words before, he or she will never change, I don’t think their marriage is going to make it, oh that’s impossible. I know I have.

Why are we so quick to judge a person or situation?? If we say we have faith, why not pray and ask God to help and intervene in the person’s life or situation. Let’s put our words and our energy into praying and believing and growing our faith as we pray.

You do not have because you do not ask. James 4:2

And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. Matthew 21:22

If we aren’t asking we can’t receive. God wants to give but we need to open that channel for Him to flow into our lives and others.

Instead of judging and condemning a person or situation, pray and let God do His perfect work in you and them. As we pray, not doubting, we are blessed, our faith is increased, situations begin to change and God can be glorified in it all.

Amen!

What is the Cry of Your Heart?

What is the cry of your heart today? With all that’s going on in and around you today let the cry of your heart be to love Jesus more and feel His hand stronger each day in your life.

There is a song that goes like this:

Show me Your ways that I may walk with You
I put my hope in You
The cry of my heart is to love You more
To live with the touch of Your hand
Stronger each day
Show me Your ways…

It’s easy to get caught up in the cares and daily routines of the world. But let your hearts cry be to nourish, strengthen and deepen your relationship with Jesus. Allow room in your day for God to show you Himself, teach you His ways and lead you in His truth.

My soul longs, yes, even faints
For the courts of the Lord
My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.  Psalm 84:2

May each one of us continue to walk with Jesus and feel His presence in our lives stronger each day.

Amen!

Beware

Have you ever gotten an email, phone call or letter in the mail that looked and sounded authentic but it wasn’t?? It was a scam. We always have to be careful and on the lookout for those who want to deceive us.

We should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting… Ephesians 4:14

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

Don’t be tossed around or caught off guard by something that looks and sounds good. Test it, whether it is from God or not. Read and study God’s Word so your spirit can detect those lies and scams. Ask God for wisdom and discernment.

When wisdom enters your heart,
And knowledge is pleasant to your soul,
Discretion will preserve you,
Understanding will keep you,
To deliver you from the way of evil… Proverbs 2:10-12

My prayer today is that each of us would be aware of the tricks of the devil and have a discerning spirit for his lies.

May God richly bless you today and give you peace in your heart.
Amen!
